Once a diagnosis has been made, the endocrinologist will work with the patient to develop a personalized treatment plan.
Becoming an endocrinologist requires a significant amount of education and training. After completing a bachelor's degree, an aspiring endocrinologist will need to attend medical school and complete a residency program in internal medicine. Following this, they will need to complete a fellowship in endocrinology, which typically lasts two to three years.
During their fellowship, endocrinologists will receive specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders, as well as in the latest research and advancements in the field.
