What is Genetics?
Genetics is the study of genes, heredity, and genetic variation in living organisms. It is concerned with the structure and function of genes, how they are inherited from one generation to the next, and how they interact with each other and the environment to produce the traits of an organism.
Educational Qualifications for a Geneticist
To become a geneticist, one typically needs a bachelor's degree in genetics or a related field, such as biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology. Some geneticists may also pursue a master's or doctoral degree in genetics or a related field to specialize in a particular area of the subject.
