The history of Epidemiology 

Epidemiology has a rich history that dates back to the 19th century when the first systematic collection of health data began. John Snow, who is considered the father of modern epidemiology, conducted a study on cholera in London in the mid-1800s. He discovered that the disease was caused by contaminated water from a single source, and his findings led to the removal of the contaminated water pump and the eventual control of the outbreak.
